Are there melee weapons?
Yes we have melee, ranged and radial attack weapons. Also,
every character type has their own unique class of gadgets
they can use. The Gladiator has player-controlled goodies
(like cameras and a few surprises). The human has drop
gadgets (different mine classes and special situation
devices). The Culibine has amplifiers (helper robots that
orbit her when they are enabled) and certain classes of
these can attack enemies.
Is there armor that you
can equip? If so, will your character look like they are
wearing it? (as per Dungeon Siege)
As for equipable armor. The human has equipable weapons,
armor and helmet. The gladiator has torso, melee and ranged
weapons that can be swapped out. The Culibine has swappable
gauntlets. Yes, the character's appearance reflects the
equipped items.
Approximately how long of a game can we expect in terms
of hours?
We expect 20-25 hours of gameplay per character type.
Every character has a unique interface, all unique items
(health, weapons, gadgets etc.) and a unique sub-story.
Is there gore/blood? If so, is
it customizable? (like none/regular/excessive)
There is blood, but it's pretty tame by today's standards.
Really, 99% of the things you fight are aliens and robots,
so it really isn't a gore fest. The human does bleed red
blood when he gets hit, but its not excessive, and its
only done to provide the player with feedback that he's
been hit. As far as I know, he's the only character in
the whole game that bleeds actual blood.
Does Harbinger have multi-player?
While we understand that a lot or RPG fans love the addition
of multi-player to any game, we feel that Harbinger comes
into its own as an intensive single-player experience,
and that's where our focus has been all through design
and development for this product.

What will be the learning curve?
I'm not a huge RPG fan because I don't have the patience
or time to spend hours just trying to figure out how to
control a game. So for a new-to-RPG player, how "attractive"
will it be?
We're shooting for a learning curve of around five or
ten minutes tops. Because of our combat system, the interface
is mildly more complex than Diablo 2's. Each of the three
characters has it's own special abilities that you need
to learn (takes about a minute). Outside of that, the
action ramps up slowly at the beginning, and we have every
type of save game you can imagine (quick-save, named save,
auto-save at level swap) so there's very little room for
frustration.
What is the max resolution that
you're hoping to support?
While the game was designed to run natively at 800x600,
we have responded to many requests and added a high resolution
mode. This mode will run the game at 1024x768.
Do any of the characters have any
type of magic or mana?
There is no magic or mana in Harbinger. It just didn't
fit our universe and we figured that there were plenty
of games with magic and mana already
About how many different items
or weapons are available? Does your inventory have a maximum
capacity?
The inventory does have a maximum capacity (although this,
like almost everything else, varies based on the character
type chosen).
We have a huge number (I don't know the exact number,
somewhere in the hundreds) of weapons in the game. As
you would expect, they come in a full range of frequencies
from common to unique.
What are the Minimum System Requirements
for Harbinger?
Pentium III 500 MHz; Windows 98/ME/2000/XP; DirectX
8.0 compatible 3D accelerator with at least 16MB of
video RAM, 128 MB RAM, 650 MB available hard drive space,
4x CD-ROM drive.
