Default A correct DLORDS.exe file needed!

The game that I had bought obviously came from pirates (alas we still do not have too many shops that sell proper games). Being a pirates' product (in a sense) my version of the game is full of bugs. My char is level 16 now and I even did not make into the Forbidden lands because e.g. the maid in the tavern keeps on asking me to return later, the tower of Emmindor is off limits to me though I have the magic mirror, I have the Divine Intervention Spell but the Angel does not show up, the restoration spell does nothing (adept - celestial magic level 9) - to kill a minotaur in the Arena - piece of cake, dragons - 15 minutes or less of play time but just one dragon. And so forth. Am not bragging but asking for help - where can I get a correct DLORDS.EXE which then could be patched to v.1.1. for at the moment when I try to install it I get a message:"No version of DL was found on your computer!'
Thank you so much help.
Am to far in the game to just quit it!

since the game has NO copy protection what so ever why would a pirated version be any different than normal version? I have heard those with legit copies have those same problems, including me. I had a couple of those, the game is just very buggy at the moment and patch seems to not install for some people. Backup your save game uninstall, and reinstall then try patch again (I read that if you do this from an account that does not have admin rights it will work if it doesn't work on one with....It is just what I read from some users but it is worth a try)

BTW My install of DL made no registry entries at all but patch installed fine, and I didn't put in in default location(another suggestion).

IF You Purchased this Game From A Retailer and it is "Pirated" Call your Local Police Dept. and Accompany them to the Retailers Shop. They Will Shut them Down,The FBI Will Become Involved and The Owners of the Retail Store Will Face Federal Criminal Prosecution for "Piracy". You Will Get your Money Back. It is a Simple as that---"IF" you Actually Purchased the Game From A Retailer.

He may be in some part of Russia or some other country that doesn't give a crap about pirate softwarez and they sell it right in the stores. A guy on anouther forum once posted some actual pics he took of a shop in some place in Russia that was selling copies of that leaked Doom 3 alpha way back when it first stolen. Crazyness.

Ladies and Gentlemen!
Thanks for all the heated replies to my thread. Yes indeed my country does not give (in reality not in words) flying f.... for all the copyrights. Besides it is a well known fact that Russian hackers are probably best so it was no big deal for them to steal and "release" a protected game. Besides I do not object to buy a legitimate copy of the game save for the fact that it is not available in a lisenced version in my country. Gigabytes of illegal soft are sold on every other corner, especially in the metro stations - I live in the country's second largest city - Saint-Petersburg.
And the rumours are correct - our pirates did release lots of soft before it was officially published e.g. Winn98 - was on sale in my country even before the "small and unrigid" company had it released. There will be more examples but this is not the point - the point is - how can I proceed with the game when it is full s....?
Thank you all very much in advance my dear fellow gamers!

You are Full of B.S.! I Spent 5 months in Russia in 2003. There ARE Legitimate Retailers Of Games in Russia! I had No trouble Finding one. And,There was Nothing Preventing you From Purchasing a 'Legitimate' Version of this Game From the Multitude of World-Wide Retailers. You Chose to buy a Know Pirated Version. Thats your TFL,Pal! Live with it and Cease Bitching about something that is your own **** Fault! Choke on it!
